Giant Panda

Chengdu Research Base for Panda Breeding is 10 km north of Chengdu. It has a veterinary laboratory and panda enclosures. It spent many breeding panda.

Pandas originally were meat eaters but have over more than 3,000 years evolved into bamboo eaters. However bamboo lacks protein and has much fibres as a result it does provide sufficient nutrition for Panda metabolism. Evolution teaches Panda to be laid back to conserve energy and continue eating large amounts of bamboo right through winter.

Red pandas are like racoons and opposite of giant pandas. They are vigorous and like to fight resulting in some losing their tails.
